About Us

  • LQ’s Performing Arts Center (LQ’s P.A.C.), founded in April 2004, is an educational program listed as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization group originally located in Bakersfield, CA, but now located throughout California.

  • Our mission is to provide the most professional instruction of the Performing Arts while emphasizing the proper technique, creativity, performance ability, and personal growth for our students of all ages.

  • Our goal is to be able to empower the community with the understanding/appreciation for the Performing Arts through educational classes, travel experience, intensive training, and informative/uplifting performances.

  • Caring about the well-being of our community is very important to LQ’s as an organization. LQ’s Performing Arts Center builds, fosters, and promotes the skills of others in our communities.

LQ's Performing Arts Center's Director, LaQuette Milner

Milner left California for New York City and graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. From there, Milner appeared in a national tour with the Nickelodeon Rugrats, performed on Broadway, and other various shows/plays. Milner later graduated from the California State University of Bakersfield with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and opened LQ’s Performing Arts Center. Milner then ventured into writing, producing, directing, acting in, and touring her original play “Da’ Hip-Hop Wizzard of Oz.” For the last five years, in addition to teaching dance classes, Milner has traded performing on stages to performing in classrooms, as a teacher, for the inmates and probationers of Los Angeles County, teaching them the necessary high school requirements to gain their diplomas.
