About Us

  • LQ’s Performing Arts Center (LQ’s P.A.C.), founded in April 2004, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization. Originally established in Bakersfield, CA, the organization is now primarily based in Los Angeles, CA.

  • Our mission is to embrace, enhance, and empower the community through the performing arts by offering educational classes, travel experiences, intensive training, and uplifting performances that inspire growth, creativity, and connection

  • Our goal is to provide professional instruction in the performing arts that emphasizes proper technique, creativity, performance ability, and personal growth for students of all ages. We aim to uplift our students and give them a platform to showcase their talents, sharing what they have learned through their training.

  • Caring for the well-being of our community is central to LQ’s. LQ’s Performing Arts Center cultivates, fosters, and promotes the skills and talents of individuals within our communities.

LQ's Performing Arts Center's Director, LaQuette Milner

Milner left California for New York City, where she graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She went on to appear in a national tour of Nickelodeon’s Rugrats, perform on Broadway, and participate in various other shows and plays. Milner later earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts from California State University, Bakersfield, and founded LQ’s Performing Arts Center. She also wrote, produced, directed, acted in, and toured her original play, Da’ Hip-Hop Wizzard of Oz. For the past ten years, in addition to teaching dance classes, Milner has shifted her focus from performing on stage to performing in classrooms—teaching inmates, probationers, and community members in Los Angeles County the high school requirements necessary to earn their diplomas.
